Despite of little flaws in the film, Sundhadhirakodi stands out. A deeply disturbing character which need to take all the possible sympathy from the audience, but at the same time the character didn’t like to take sympathy from the other characters. But Malavika, a newcomer in Tamil just made every heroine in the film industry to think what they were doing at the time. Even Nayanthara did a film like Idhu Kathivelanin Kadhal. This is the year in which heroines hardly got 4 scenes and two songs. Here’s my list of top 10 best performances by the ladies and these choices are completely in my opinion.Ī visually impaired Sundhadhirakodi is an unforgettable name when we deeply seen into the year 2014. But this decade(2010-2019) was quite better than the previous one for women. We hardly got 4-5 performances like Naan Kadavul and Paruthiveeran. Most of the actresses played fiddle to actors. The first decade of this century (2000-2009) was the worst year for women in Indian cinema. But after their age, it was reducing drastically. Both the director given films which empower women as well as shown them as it’s protagonist.
It has produced a highest number of women oriented films in the country.
Tamil Cinema once known for strong women oriented scripts.
